JJ McCarthy, Michigan QB, launches partnership with ISlide by designing his first signature pair of slides with two kids at his charitable organization: JJ for the Kids Foundation

ISlide, known for their ability to create custom slide sandals, continues to add student-athletes to their ISlide U roster that embody their company mantra: Stand In What You Stand For. Michigan quarterback, JJ McCarthy, stands for dreaming big on and off the field.

On July 1st, 2021 when the NCAA announced that college athletes could earn for their name, image, and likeness, JJ made the following announcement:

Staying true to his word, 100% of the proceeds from JJ's first signature slide will go to the JJ for the Kids Foundation which strives to make a difference in the lives of kids in JJ's communities, in Chicago and Ann Arbor. 

JJ had some help when it came to the design of his first pair, working with superstars, Kate and Andre. This duo continues to dream big despite overcoming hardships their entire lives: As infants, Kate was diagnosed with an extremely rare auto-immune neurological disorder called Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome and Andre was diagnosed with a congenital heart disease resulting in many surgeries. Kate continues her treatment at Lurie’s Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL. Andre continues his treatment at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. 

Smiling above, Kate and Andre showcased their creativity drawing on a pair of slides. Their artwork was then sent back to ISlide HQ where ISlide's design team digitally recreated Kate and Andre's masterpiece.
