The group began full throttle this year being thrown right into action an hour into the first day. To those familiar with our ISlide family this is not at all surprising of owner Justin Kittredge to send them out with a challenge right from the jump. Brand manager Stephen Basden explained to the group, “on my first day as an intern in 2014 I was sent out to furnish the office…for free”.
The eager group traveled over to Walpole Country Club to support a Shooting Touch golf tournament.
“Shooting Touch is an international sport-for-development organization whose mission is to use the mobilizing power of basketball to bridge health and opportunity gaps for youth and women facing racial, gender, and economic inequalities.”

They were sent out with essentially no direction. The group was just told to return with fun and exciting content, whether that be videos, pictures, TikToks, etc. It was a true test to their creativity and spontaneity, but a challenge that they all happily embraced.
There were boomerangs made, TikTok trends recreated, and lots of videos of golf swings. Many were decent hits, though some kept the interns that were positioned to the right of the 12th tee box on their toes!
Interns engaged the golfers in trivia questions and let them try their luck with the “wheel of slides” with chances to walk away with a free pair. They also received feedback on some exciting new products that are in the works. Not giving anything away, but be on the lookout for your new favorite golf accessory and something that will keep your toes warm this winter!
At the end of the day it was a great opportunity for the group to have hands-on experience marketing the product and thinking of different ways they plan to make their mark on ISlide this summer.
