Slide Into Intern Life: Christina

I remember sitting in the car on the way to the office the first day of my internship and feeling extremely nervous. I realized that I left all of my belongings in South Carolina and moved up to Boston to pursue the start-up dream that ISlide had to offer. On that morning ride to ISlide I started questioning myself whether it was a right decision for me to reject so many big companies who offered me paid internships to come to ISlide. However, the moment I walked in and met the team, I knew I made a right choice.

What I truly love about ISlide are the people, as cliché as it sounds. I got to know so many other interns here who were always willing to help me whether it is a question I have about video editing or a ride I needed to get to the bus station. Coming to a new city all on your own can be challenging, which is why I am so glad I have such a supportive group of people around me.

The most rewarding feeling that I get while working here is when I see my video projects actually appearing on our website and social media. I also got a chance to be in our viral video when we first launched the Epic Teal color. I believe that there is nothing more satisfying for an intern than to see that you are actually making an impact and that your work adds value to the company. I am thankful to ISlide for giving me this opportunity, and I am excited to spend the rest of my summer working here.
